WEST ORANGE TRAIL EAST
We will meet at the Downtown Pavilion at 104 South Lakeview Ave, Winter Garden, FL. We will travel east on the West Orange Trail and north to the Clarcona Horse Park for a break. We will then return west for our next break at Chapin Station. We will then continue west past Winter Garden to Killarney Station for our third break, followed by riding east back to the starting point in Winter Garden. The ride distance is around thirty-six miles. There are rest stop options every 8 to 10 miles.
The CRABS ride pace is about 10-14 miles per hour with rest stops about every ten miles. There are some slower riders, so don’t be scared off by this pace. Most, but not all, of the riders have electric assist. The riding group often separates into faster and slower subgroups, but we join back up at the next rest stop, so no one gets left behind. Most rides are between 30 and 40 miles, although there are always options for people to ride much further before or after a posted ride. We welcome new riders, including beginner trike riders. We can accommodate slower riders and those who can’t ride the full posted ride distance. We will ensure that all riders make it back safely to the starting location. Be sure to bring adequate amounts of water, snacks, and electrolyte drinks.
